Kane hits the bar and Silva steals a point in Der Klassiker
Bayern Munich 2, Borussia Dortmund 2. Dortmund stay unbeaten and level at the top after a goal in the 89th minute.
Harry Kane, named the best player in the world in London on Monday, had the chance to put Bayern Munich out of sight at the Allianz Arena. Instead he struck the crossbar from the spot, and Borussia Dortmund left with a 2-2 draw.
Konrad Laimer put Bayern ahead in the 38th minute, finishing from the right of the six-yard box, moments after Jobe Bellingham had a goal ruled out at the other end.
Felix Nmecha handled in the area in the 55th minute. Kane's penalty hit the bar, and four minutes later Serhou Guirassy levelled from the middle of the box after a pass from Carney Chukwuemeka.
Kane made amends with a headed assist from a corner for Dayot Upamecano, who scored from close range in the 66th minute. But the substitute Fábio Silva had the final word: from a Konstantinos Karetsas corner in the 89th minute he shot low into the bottom corner, and the goal stood after a VAR check.
Bayern had 23 shots to Dortmund's 12, but they lost Michael Olise, Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry to injury. They were without the head coach Vincent Kompany, who left hospital this week after treatment for an infection, and they play Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.
