Derby County v Bolton Wanderers

Rams on the ropes as in-form Trotters come to Pride Park
Second-bottom Derby have three points from their last ten matches. Bolton have taken ten points from their last four away games.
We are still not sure on Josh Sheehan. We think it is nothing too serious. He seems positive this morning. He didn't train with us this morning but we will give him until tomorrow morning.Steven Schumacher, Bolton head coach The Bolton News
Derby County's injury crisis and dismal run collide with a confident Bolton side under the Pride Park lights tonight. The Rams are second-bottom of the Championship and have taken just three points from their last ten matches, according to the Racing Post. Last Saturday they lost 4-1 at Millwall, and on Tuesday they were beaten 4-0 at home by Norwich City.
The Racing Post says Derby's summer plans were disrupted when a proposed takeover fell through, and a long list of injuries has since exposed the gaps in the squad. Eiran Cashin, Sondre Langas, Craig Forsyth, Derry Murkin and Charlie Taylor are all out. Matt Clarke and Patrick Agyemang have returned to full training, but it is not clear whether either will be ready. Sammie Szmodics was forced off against Norwich, and Joe Ward, Ryan Hedges and David Ozoh are also doubts.
Bolton are flying by comparison. The promoted Trotters have 17 points from 14 games and sit seven points above the drop zone. On Tuesday, Sam Dalby's first-half strike earned a hard-fought 1-0 win at Charlton. They have taken 13 points from their last eight league games and ten from their last four on the road.
Sports Mole points out that a win would end Bolton's 45-year wait for an away league victory over Derby.
Steven Schumacher's main worries are in midfield and goal. Josh Sheehan limped off at the Valley and faces a fitness test this morning, while Gavin Bazunu has missed the last two games with a thigh problem. Jack Bonham kept a clean sheet in his place on Tuesday. Atsuki Ito also limped off at Charlton, but Schumacher said it was only cramp and the Japanese midfielder trained on Thursday.
Eoin Toal, Ethan Erhahon, John McAtee and Ryan Hardie remain sidelined for the visitors.

Oxford City v Leicester City

Fallen giants Leicester walk into a plastic-pitch banana skin
Five years after lifting the Cup, Russell Martin's Foxes are back in the first round for the first time since 2008. Their opponents are second in National League North.
I think having nine subs is nice for us because there's people who deserve to be on the bench that haven't been able to because it's just purely down to numbers. Like I said, we're going as strong as we possibly can.Russell Martin, Leicester City manager Leicester Mercury
It is the kind of tie the FA Cup was made for. Oxford City, second in the National League North, host a Leicester City side who won the trophy five years ago and are now playing in the competition's first round proper for the first time since 2008.
Russell Martin's side drew 2-2 at home to Stevenage on Saturday, leading twice before conceding both times, a result that leaves them tenth in League One. The Leicester Mercury reports that Martin intends to field "as strong a side as possible". His only absentees are Jakub Stolarczyk, Ben Nelson and Jayden Joseph.
There is a complication. The artificial surface means one or two players may be left out because of their injury record, Martin said, and illness went through part of the squad early in the week. Joseph has not played since the 4-3 win at Stockport on 12 September. Martin hopes to have him back in the squad for the Huddersfield game.
The FA Cup allows nine substitutes, and Martin welcomed that: "There's people who deserve to be on the bench that haven't been able to because it's just purely down to numbers."
Ross Jenkins' Oxford City had 27 points from their first 14 league matches. They were knocked off the top of the table on Saturday by a 3-1 home defeat to South Shields. They reached this stage by beating Dorchester, Enfield Town and Torquay. Tyrone Marsh has nine goals in all competitions and Scott Pollock six.
The Racing Post notes that former Watford forward Fernando Forestieri and ex-Bristol City and Rovers striker Matty Taylor are in the hosts' squad but are likely to start on the bench.
Leicester also host Walsall in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, giving Martin two games to rotate before League One resumes.
